About this tour

Take in the sights and sounds of Antigua by land and sea with this guided tour led by a local spearfisherman. Get the chance to snorkel with sea turtles and explore shipwrecks at Galleon Beach. This tour can accommodate all travelers, even those who do not want to snorkel. Other stops include Shirley Heights and Nelson’s Dockyard.

Highlights

  • WE TOUR Nelson's Dockyard and Shirley's Heights, finally we will be snorkeling for about an hour around a couple shipwrecks and looking for turtles, we normally always encounter them, but it depends on the visibility that day. I would say 85-90% of guests encounter turtles. If you are a decent swimmer we will also check out The Pillars Of Hercules. THIS IS NOT A BOAT TOUR! Admission to the national parks is 15$USD which gives you two tickets one for Nelson's Dockyard and one for Shirley's Heights. So to clarify you only pay one time for both parks!

I had this last minute booking with Johnny on TripAdvisor and he is so very accommodating and replying to my questions timely. He's very knowledgeable about the island and show me all the interesting attractions here in Antigua. I especially love the snorkeling part that Johnny showed me the giant turtles, stingray and shipwrecks at Galleon beach. highly recommended!

Booked an amazing trip. Johnny is very knowledgable about the local history. Went to Nelsons Dockyard and Shirley’s Heights where views are amazing. Drove us through the rain forest and then we went snorkelling and saw so many turtles and 2 shipwrecks. Can personalise trip as we wanted to go to the donkey sanctuary. Highly recommend

We had the most amazing time, Jonny was the perfect tour guide and even went out of his way to take us to a souvenir shop which is by far one of the cheapest on the island. He knew the best spots to see the turtles and where to see the shipwrecks. We could go on forever listing the highlights! He keeps all his tours private and is very knowledgeable -he can answer any question you may have about the island and it’s history. It is definitely a tour not to miss and far superior then going with commercial companies.
