About this tour

Take in the sights and sounds of Antigua by land and sea with this guided tour led by a local spearfisherman. Get the chance to snorkel with sea turtles and explore shipwrecks at Galleon Beach. This tour can accommodate all travelers, even those who do not want to snorkel. Other stops include Shirley Heights and Nelson’s Dockyard.

Highlights

  • WE TOUR Nelson's Dockyard and Shirley's Heights, finally we will be snorkeling for about an hour around a couple shipwrecks and looking for turtles, we normally always encounter them, but it depends on the visibility that day. I would say 85-90% of guests encounter turtles. If you are a decent swimmer we will also check out The Pillars Of Hercules. THIS IS NOT A BOAT TOUR! Admission to the national parks is 15$USD which gives you two tickets one for Nelson's Dockyard and one for Shirley's Heights. So to clarify you only pay one time for both parks!

We had a fantastic time with John! It was really nice not being part of a larger group so we could move at our own pace. The visibility for snorkeling wasn't perfect, but we still saw 4!!!!!!!! sea turtles, 2 stingrays, a pufferfish, and a bunch of other fish! The shipwrecks were super cool too, and in shallow water so not like they were out in the deep. His snorkeling equipment was a lot better than the other bigger tour's equipment was, no swallowing sea water if you dipped the snorkel. I definitely recommend booking with him!

Really good tour of Antigua and Snorkelling experience! Johnny was a really good host, very easy to talk with and knowledgeable about the island. Snorkelling was really cool, managed to find a turtle and a stingray even thought the visibility was pretty poor on the day. Maybe a bit overpriced for the whole trip, but you'd struggle to find anywhere cheaper for a similar experience. Recommend booking directly from his website and skipping trip advisor to get cheaper rates.
