About this tour

Take in the sights and sounds of Antigua by land and sea with this guided tour led by a local spearfisherman. Get the chance to snorkel with sea turtles and explore shipwrecks at Galleon Beach. This tour can accommodate all travelers, even those who do not want to snorkel. Other stops include Shirley Heights and Nelson’s Dockyard.

Highlights

  • WE TOUR Nelson's Dockyard and Shirley's Heights, finally we will be snorkeling for about an hour around a couple shipwrecks and looking for turtles, we normally always encounter them, but it depends on the visibility that day. I would say 85-90% of guests encounter turtles. If you are a decent swimmer we will also check out The Pillars Of Hercules. THIS IS NOT A BOAT TOUR! Admission to the national parks is 15$USD which gives you two tickets one for Nelson's Dockyard and one for Shirley's Heights. So to clarify you only pay one time for both parks!

Great communication from Jonny, collected us from Jolly Harbour and took us to Nelson’s Dock. He was very informative about Antigua and the surrounding areas. He gave us a tour of Nelson’s Dock then a short drive to Shirley Heights again very knowledgeable about the history of the area. We then took a short drive the Galleons Bay and an amazing snorkelling trip where we saw 5 turtles a Sting Ray and plenty of fish and two ship wrecks. He then drove us back to Jolly Harbour.

Johnny was a fantastic, friendly, host and guide, pointing out all of the places he thought we might find interesting rather than letting us walk around aimlessly and as for the snorkelling, it was the highlight of our holiday. As novices, his patience and understanding made it an experience we will never forget
