Private Snorkeling and Sightseeing Tour of Antigua

My new fiancé and I booked a tour with Johnny because of the amazing reviews and the fact we wanted to go snorkelling. His tour did not disappoint, it was the best experience we’ve ever had. It was like having a friend taking us around the island. He made us feel at ease straight away, he was so funny and incredibly knowledgeable. You can tell he is passionate about the island and this shows on his tour. Being a local spear fisherman, the snorkelling was incredible and he had such good knowledge of the water. He took us to some shipwrecks and found a turtle that we snorkelled alongside, a stingray (on the seabed) and an Octopus. He took us to a snorkel shop so we could buy our own gear (he does provide equipment but we wanted some for the beach!). He also really pleasantly surprised us with his GoPro underwater camera that he used to take photos and videos of our snorkelling which he promptly emailed us so we have some photos and videos to cherish. It really was a day to remember. We would 100000% recommend this tour to anybody!!!

During the trip he told us a lot about himself and Antigua, then we were allowed to go snorkeling with him and we were lucky enough to see a turtle straight away. He is very accommodating, makes sure that everyone is together and asks how everyone is. I am super happy that we were able to enjoy the afternoon with him at such short notice. We booked a private, full day trip with Johnny in February 2020, combining island sightseeing and a snorkelling session. He planned us just the most perfect day; we had the unforgettable experience of swimming with stingrays in the morning, followed by a sightseeing tour of some the most coveted photo opportunities, historic sites, and beautiful beaches in Antigua. After a great lunch stop with astonishing views up at Shirley Heights, Johnny then provided all the kit and careful guidance we needed for a superb couple of hours of snorkelling - amongst the multitude of underwater creatures we saw we were lucky enough to spot several turtles and even dive around an island shipwreck! Johnny has absolutely every quality you could wish for in the ideal local guide: knowledgable, witty, laid back, and (probably most importantly!) so much fun. We were laughing and chatting like life-long friends by the end of our tour, and the time spent with Johnny and the memories made will remain amongst the most treasured of our whole trip. Highly, highly recommended.
