As travel agents, we booked Johnny because we were seeking an authentic island tour that covered all historical landmarks and true Antiguan life. We booked Johnny for 2 full days of tour... best decision we made the entire trip! Johnny made us feel like family and customized the tour to fit our interests.
DAY 1 - Johnny took us to all of the historical landmarks. He knows every nook and cranny of the island and all of its history. We visited Shirley Heights, English Harbour, and Devil's Bridge, Bettys Hope and Galleon Beach. Our stop at Galleons beach included snorkleing. I had a ton of anxiety and Johnny was so patient with teaching me how to snorkle..by the end I had swam out further than I could ever have done on my own. Johnny surprised us with fresh caught lobsters that he put on the grille with baked potatoes and his homemade garlic butter. YUM!
DAY 2 - This was the best part of the trip by far. Johnny took us in town to see local landmarks like St Johns Cathedral. We also made a stop for lunch with a street vendor for REAL authentic Antiguan food (Barbuda Grille at Yorks Corner). Afterwards we visited 4 or 5 beaches along the way to other locations - Fort James, Darkwood Beach, Curtain Bluff, Fig Tree Drive, Ratcliffe Quay, Jolly Beach..and more!
By far the best tour guide I have had thus far. Johnny is funny, honest and a true Antiguan ambassador. His knowledge of the island is expansive and I highly recommend him for future travelers.<div class="row"></div>
I wanted an authentic Antiguan experience and Johnny delivered. Some attractions were closed due to covid, but he made up for it with stops off the beaten path. He has vast knowledge of the island's history and current issues was an unexpected plus.<div class="row"></div>
