I must caution those unaccustomed to strenuous climbs; this excursion demands 3 hours of continuous ascent. Slippery rocks and muddy terrain further underscore the need for caution, particularly in adverse weather conditions. Our tour started at an elevation of 700 feet, leading us along a well-defined hiking trail. Throughout the journey, expect to navigate various obstacles such as tree roots and rocks, which require adeptness to overcome and progress further. Fortunately, the trail offers ample coverage, minimizing exposure to direct sunlight. Along the route, there are six designated rest areas where the tour guide imparts insightful lessons on Mount Liamuiga's history and the flourishing natural vegetation lining the path.To conquer the trail up to its peak at 2800 feet, a reasonable level of physical fitness or prior hiking experience is essential. Despite the challenge, the trail is deemed safe, devoid of aggressive wildlife or reptiles. The panoramic vista from the summit is truly awe-inspiring.
